WikiLeaks release dumps on diplomacy

WikiLeaks spewed out a bunch of classified American diplomatic documents this week, and it was disheartening to learn that what passes for statecraft these days could easily be mistaken for a worldly version of Us Weekly.

Chopped Down

TALLAHASSEE — Florida still has one game left in 2010, but rebuilding for 2011 starts now. That was the message coach Urban Meyer emphatically delivered during his press conference after Florida State’s 31-7 drubbing of UF in Doak Campbell Stadium. The Gators (7-5, 4-4 Southeastern Conference) lost to the Seminoles (9-3, 6-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) and lost five games in a season for the first time in Meyer’s tenure. This is also the first five-loss regular season since 1988. Meyer said his coaching staff would hit the road Sunday and immediately turn their focus to bringing in as many tough-ass players as possible.
